A note from Sean about the show on Friday:

Greetings Folks,

It's been a sleepy summer for Heiruspecs. We've been demoing a bunch of new songs and we are planning a very late 2012 release for our new record. It's sizing up to have a big spread of sounds on it, mellow cuts, bangers, guests, solos, instrumentals and everything. We've been rolling out bits and pieces here including Towers, Eye for an Eye, Cruise Control and more. We hope you're enjoying them and if you are thinking we should do anything on our new record, tell us on twitter. I'm all over that and I respond crazy fast.

Secondly, if you are free this weekend come on out and watch us rip it at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. You might be wondering, when was the last time Heiruspecs played the Lake Harriet Bandshell. 1997. What was it for? A TAMS awareness program. That was a program that was running at Southwest High School that let girls get birth control without having to consult with their families and other agencies. It was great, and it was noble. That was organized by Adam Waytz of the legendary Oddjobs crew. And I believe this girl Eve Lotter was there who was the finest coffee shop type girl of my generation. Adam Waytz even gave her a shout out in an Oddjobs song.

This Friday will not be noble, it will be bohemian. We are playing ahead of one of the finest movies of all time, the first Wayne's World. I know you've seen the movie before, but I bet you'll love seeing it on the big screen out there. Come on down and check it out.

And if you are looking to check out some Heiruspecs before the show, tune in to our video from our recent performance at McNally Smith College of Music.

Also, for those of you who have been coming out to shows lately, we finally got a million dollars worth of merchandise so you can buy hoodies, t-shirts, small steps and more!

Have a great week.

--Sincerely,

Sean Twinkie Jiggles McPherson

Also, some of the best music of the last ten years has been coming out lately. Check out some of these guys:

Aesop Rock - Skelethon (and this really kicked my ass cause he could phone it in for the rest of his career and still be great)
El-P - Cancer 4 Cure
Alabama Shakes (I'm late to the party I know) - Boys and Girls
Mankwe - this is Atmosphere's old back up singer and the whole jam is produced by Medium Zach. I play bass on a bit of it, but it is really fantastic
